George Wallace, managing partner of The DofM, has a unique mixture of specialties and experience that include advertising, sports marketing, media negotiation, creative strategy and generation Y marketing. George handles the day-to-day client interaction, oversees the creative direction of designers and web developers, and is instrumental in strategically planning campaigns.
He is also responsible for social networking marketing, media placement and negotiation, promotions and events (and much more, but he doesn’t do windows).
George has worked as an adjunct professor teaching generation Y, peer-to-peer marketing programs for several Fortune 500 companies at universities such as Howard, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Loyola College of Maryland. Prior to establishing The DofM, he was the vice president of marketing for the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League. His responsibilities included overseeing advertising and marketing efforts, planning and implementing promotions, public appearances of players and cheerleaders, and creating and implementing events.
His media experience began as Director of Sports Marketing for The News & Observer, where he worked with all sports-related clients, sold advertising while helping develop and implement events including the Old reliable Run and the 1999 U.S. Open newspaper partnership. His career started as an Account Manager & Promotions Assistant for the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team, where he sold season tickets, group packages, and created off-field and game-day promotions for the team. George Wallace also brings a strong commitment to community service to the DofM Partnership with his affiliations and past volunteerism with programs including the Rotary Exchange, Cystic Fibrosis and the Ronald McDonald House. He has helped form and sits on the board of many local organizations including the Continuous Blessings Foundation and the Logan Aldridge Foundation. He is also honored to be a past JV softball and basketball coach at North Raleigh Christian Academy.
