Nicholas Gerstner

Nicholas Gerstner, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nicholas currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at The Desert Highlands Association, where they oversee the financial operations and strategy of the community. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Finance at Arizona Country Club, where they played a key role in enhancing the club's reputation as a top family club in the state. Before that, they worked at Troon, the world-wide leader in golf and club management, where they served as a Senior Financial Analyst and later as a Regional Controller. Nicholas also gained valuable accounting experience at Billy Casper Golf, where they managed various financial and tax accounting projects. In addition, Nicholas worked as a Staff Accountant at Cordasco and Company, PC, and as a Financial Analyst at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, SC. Nicholas began their career in the golf industry as an Assistant General Manager at Stonebridge Golf Club, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills and contributed to revenue growth. Nicholas holds a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification, highlighting their expertise in fraud prevention and detection.

Nicholas Gerstner, CFE, earned a B.A. degree in Accounting with a minor in Fraud Examination from Shorter University in 2009. Nicholas then went on to pursue further education and obtained a master's degree in Accounting with a forensic concentration (Macc) from the Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University in 2011. Nicholas also holds a certification as a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer from the Club Management Association of America, which they obtained in 2022.
