Yntze van der Hoek is an experienced professional specializing in biodiversity research and policy coordination. Currently serving as the Coordinator Knowledge for Policy Choices on Nitrogen and Rural Areas at the Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit since March 2024, Yntze has also been affiliated with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund since May 2018, holding roles as Research Affiliate, Senior Biodiversity Researcher, and Biodiversity Researcher. Previous experience includes working as a researcher and lecturer at Universidad Regional Amazónica Ikiam from March 2015 to May 2018, along with a PhD candidacy at City University of New York where research focused on habitat loss and fragmentation issues. Earlier professional roles included leadership in tourism for Djoser in Latin America and internship experiences in Kenya and Gabon.
