Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at The Dimock Center

Rachel Preiss has a diverse background in nursing and healthcare. Rachel started their career as a Registered Nurse at The Dimock Center, where they worked in a busy pediatrics practice and performed various nursing duties. Rachel then moved on to work as a Nurse Advocate at Syndney Borum Health Center, where they assessed and connected young women within the Department of Youth Services to appropriate healthcare services.

Rachel also has experience as a Nurse Practitioner at Happy N Healthy Family Medicine, where they provided preventative and acute care for women. Rachel later worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Reproductive Science Center, managing and coordinating research studies and performing various clinical procedures related to gynecology and obstetrics.

Rachel's work experience also includes roles at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner, where they assessed and coordinated care for postpartum patients, and at Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, providing care for victims of sexual assault.

Rachel's most recent role was as a Nurse Educator at The National TeleNursing Center, where they provided teleSANE care to sexual assault patients and developed educational materials for the teleSANE staff.

Rachel Preiss has a diverse education history. Rachel pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from Manhattan College, graduating in 2004. Later on, they attended Boston College from 2006 to 2008, obtaining a Masters of Science degree in Nursing. In 2008, they continued their education at Boston College, completing a Certificate in Nursing Education in 2009. Additionally, Rachel obtained a Breastfeeding Specialist Certification from the Lactation Consultant Training Program in 2015. Most recently, in 2016, they received a Certificate of Completion in Limited OB Ultrasound from Thomas Jefferson University.
