David McHale

David McHale is an accomplished legal and human resources executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Since March 2009, David has served as the Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary at The Doctors Company, overseeing legal, regulatory compliance, government relations, and corporate secretarial functions for a leading medical professional liability insurer. Prior to this role, David held positions as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at a major physician-owned medical liability insurer, and as Vice President & Associate General Counsel at Nationwide Insurance, managing legal operations across multiple regional offices. David's legal career began at Allstate Insurance Company as Regional Counsel for the California Region. Academically, David holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago and a JD from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law.
