Joshua Jennings began their career as the CEO and Founder of The Dover Companies in 2007. The Dover Companies focus on private equity, real estate development, construction, and asset management in the long-term care industry, with a particular emphasis on senior housing. Joshua led Cedarhurst, a part of The Dover Companies, to specialize in developing communities for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. In 2010, they founded Groupigg, which pioneered the "white label" online offer model for major media companies. The company grew to over 50 employees and operated in five countries before transitioning into Dealpigg in 2013.

Joshua Jennings has an extensive education history. Joshua obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in International Intellectual Property Law from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in the years 2004 to 2006. In 2005, Joshua participated in a program in International Business and Comparative Law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. Prior to this, they attended the University of Illinois College of Law for the academic year 2003-2004. In 2001, they earned an MBA degree in International Business from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During the same period, Joshua also achieved a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Lastly, from 1996 to 2001, they completed their undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
