Asvin Sembhoo is an experienced educator and leader within Toastmasters, currently serving as the Vice President of Education at Plateau Toastmasters Club and Area Director for Toastmasters Southern Africa. With a strong focus on supporting members' educational journeys and expanding club presence, Asvin aligns efforts with District 74's theme of 'Building a legacy.' In addition to Toastmasters roles, Asvin lectures part-time at the Mauritius Institute of Education, teaches child and secondary education, and contributes to the community as an Award Leader for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. A skilled poet and writer, Asvin produces work in both Mauritian Creole and English, while also mentoring youth and integrating them into the job market. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, a Master's degree in Communication and Public Relations, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Science and English.
