Job description

LOCATION: Based Rio or Sao Paolo

ABOUT US

The Earthshot Prize (TEP) seeks to unleash urgent optimism and action by discovering, accelerating, awarding, spotlighting and scaling solutions that can repair and regenerate the planet.

In 2024, we find ourselves in a world that is going through seismic change. The challenge we face as a global community is to ensure we don’t slip into widespread climate defeatism, anger and anxiety, but rather, fuel a movement of innovation and action through urgent optimism. More than a Prize, we are a platform for impact, and a movement for action. We search the world for innovative solutions that if scaled could help replenish Oceans, restore Nature, create a zero-waste world, clean the air and fix the climate. We work with communities of Official Nominators, Experts and Advisors, to select 15 finalists and to profile themes and geographic excellence from our Top 100 nominees. We seek to support as many prospective, current and past finalists as possible, with a Fellowship Programme, a Youth Leader Programme, and networks of Accelerators, Universities and partners. We convene and crowd in capital from across the capital stack to help speed solutions to scale, working with partners from philanthropy, impact investing, VC’s, financial institutions and corporations, and we underpin all of this with a content and Awards Production aimed at building urgent optimism and hope for young people, and inspiring them to act and reclaim agency.

Each year, we unlock regional plans and programmes to leave a permanent footprint of partnerships and programming in support of the national or regional ‘green innovation eco-system’ of support for green innovators. And each year, we culminate our work with a globally viewed Awards Ceremony.

In 2025 we will kick off our work in Brazil, and we now seek a Director of Brazil to lead and unlock a lasting impact in-country, and in partnership with the Global TEP team.

We’re a can-do, fast-moving, fail fast and high growth platform on a mission to catalyze millions of people to choose to hope not despair, and to turn anxiety and despair into action and change in this Earthshot Decade.
