Mary Lojkine has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Mary started their career in 1991 at Future Publishing, where they served as a Staff Writer, Features Editor, and Editor for PC Answers and PCW Plus magazines. Mary then worked as a Writer and Editor for various UK technology magazines as a freelancer from 1995 to 2003. In 2004, they worked as an Underwater Videographer at Scubapix.
Mary then joined CNET Networks (now CBS Interactive) in 2005 as a Reviews Editor, and later became the Managing Editor for CNET UK. Mary was part of the launch team for the CNET UK website and oversaw the Reviews section. In 2007, they joined CBS Interactive (UK) as a Product Development Manager, responsible for product development across their consumer brands. Mary later became a Product Manager and then a Product Director, leading a replatforming project for CNET.
In 2014, Mary Lojkine joined Reach plc as Head of Product, Nationals and Web, where they were in charge of product development for their established products. Mary later became the Director of News Products, overseeing the company's news products. Mary left Reach plc in 2021 and joined The Economist as the Head of Content Products on a 12-month contract providing maternity cover. Mary is currently serving as the Principal Product Manager, Editorial at The Economist.
Throughout their career, Mary Lojkine has demonstrated expertise in product development, project management, and content publishing for various media organizations.
Mary Lojkine completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering at Massey University from 1985 to 1988. Mary then pursued postgraduate research in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath from 1989 to 1991.
