David Smith

David Smith is an experienced educational consultant and strategic associate at the Education and Training Foundation since December 2013, focusing on the design and delivery of educational programs. In addition to serving as a Programme Assessor in vocational education and training, David is also an associate at the Policy Consortium, providing research and support for the education and training system. Previously, David held various roles, including Director at Education Development Ltd and Co-Director at UCL Institute of Education's Centre for Post-14 Education and Work, where key contributions were made to research and development in education. Educational qualifications include an MA in the Sociology of Education and Mass Communications from the University of Leicester and a B.Ed(Hons) in Education and Sociology from Lancaster University. Currently, David is pursuing an Honorary Bachelor of Education at Liverpool John Moores University.
