Steve Matthews

Steve Matthews has extensive experience in leadership coaching, consulting, and spiritual direction, currently self-employed since September 2007. Matthews serves as a Senior Associate Consultant with The FaithX Project since August 2018 and has been a Program Associate for Missional Initiatives with The Episcopal Church since August 2011, where facilitation of discussions on critical church issues has been a primary focus. Additionally, Matthews has been a writer for The Upper Room Ministries since 2007 and held the position of Executive Director for the South Coast Mission Hub at the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts from June 2014 to June 2018. Educational qualifications include a MA in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University, a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from San Francisco Theological Seminary, an MDiv in Theology/Theological Studies from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and a BA in Psychology and Business Administration from Mars Hill University.
