Matthew Mulloy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.
Matthew started their career as an Administrative Assistant at IM Home Preservations in 2007, where they were responsible for property maintenance, evictions, and team communication.
In 2008, they transitioned to a Teaching Assistant role at Scott Community College, assisting students in algebra, calculus, and differential equations.
In 2013, Matthew became a Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University, where they helped students from various fields with mathematics and encouraged them to pursue a degree in the subject.
During their time at Iowa State University, they also worked as a System Protection Engineer Intern at MidAmerican Energy Company in 2015. Here, they researched system relays and ensured compliance with NERC overcurrent regulations.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Matthew returned to MidAmerican Energy Company in 2018 as an Electrical Substation Engineer II and Project Manager.
In 2019, they joined Arconic as an Electrical Engineer, overseeing growth, sustaining, and EHS capital projects. Matthew also provided technical project management and worked closely with union electricians.
From 2019 to 2021, Matthew worked at Novelis, initially as an Electrical Engineer II, where they evaluated, selected, and applied engineering techniques to electrical equipment. Matthew also contributed to lean manufacturing efforts and budget proposals.
In 2021, they were promoted to the role of Senior Electrical Engineer at Novelis, where they continued to apply their expertise in electrical engineering.
Most recently, Matthew joined ESCO Group in 2022 as a Project Engineer, where they are currently working.
Matthew Mulloy completed their education at three different institutions. Matthew first attended Scott Community College from 2002 to 2009, where they earned an Associates of Science degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Following this, they enrolled at Iowa State University, where they pursued two Bachelor's degrees concurrently. From 2009 to 2015, they studied Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and obtained their Bachelor's degrees in both disciplines. In November 2017, Matthew Mulloy also obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer - In Training from the State of Iowa Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board.
