Mark Richards has extensive experience in the field of education. Mark started their career as an Elementary School Teacher at PS 226 in 2003 and worked there until 2005. Mark then moved on to the American International School of Bamako Mali, where they served as an Elementary Teacher from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Mark joined Colegio Internacional de Carabobo as an Elementary Teacher from 2007 to 2010. During their tenure at North Country School from 2010 to 2016, Mark held multiple roles including Elementary Teacher, Middle School Teacher, and Head Librarian. Currently, they are working as the Head Librarian at The Evergreen School, a position they have held since 2016. Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated a passion for education and creating dynamic academic environments.
Mark Richards completed their education in a sequential manner. Mark began at South Seattle College, where they pursued an AAS in Automotive Technology from 1995 to 1997. Following this, Mark attended The Evergreen State College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Arts. In order to further their educational qualifications, they enrolled in Mercy University from 2003 to 2005 and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education.
Showing their dedication to continuing education, Mark pursued a Certification in School Librarian/School Library Media Specialist from the University of Washington between 2008 and 2010.
Additionally, Mark obtained a teaching certification from New York State in September 2003 and acquired a certification as a School Librarian, although the institution where they obtained the latter certification is unknown, as is the month and year of completion.
