Elise Fournier-Bidoz has extensive work experience in the aerospace and propulsion industry. In 2014, they worked at Planète Sciences, where they modeled a hybrid rocket engine and conducted a safety study for its ignition. From 2015 to 2016, they were involved in the implementation of a code for the CubeSat BIRDY project at Observatoire de Paris. At EM2C (Centrale Paris's Energy and Combustion laboratory) in 2016, they worked on numerical methods in combustion. In 2017, they joined the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and engaged in analytical work, Matlab simulations, data analysis, and experimental work for various projects related to fluids and thermal in the Chemical Propulsion Group. Starting in 2018, Elise worked at Joby Aviation as a Flight Controls Engineer, where they were responsible for senior-level flight controls engineering. In 2023, they joined The Exploration Company as a Senior GNC Engineer.
Elise Fournier-Bidoz completed their education in a chronological order. Starting from 2012 to 2014, they attended Lycée Hoche in Versailles, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering. From 2014 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace Engineering at CentraleSupélec. Lastly, from 2016 to 2018, Elise attended Stanford University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Aeronautics/Astronautics.
