Franco Banares joined The Federal Savings Bank in 2012. He is currently a Regional Senior Vice President, overseeing Consumer Direct mortgage lending for three loan production offices.

Franco is driven to develop mortgage bankers and empower sales leaders to reach their full potential, while also helping homeowners across America save money when purchasing a new home. He has an analytical and technological-based approach to marketing and training, which results in the delivery of high quality and quantity lead opportunities for his bankers, and providing the best chance for their success.

Franco graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2002 with an emphasis in Operations Management and Information Systems. He started off his career at the prestigious financial advisory firm Waddell and Reed, Inc. as a licensed Financial Advisor. During his tenure, Franco heightened his financial expertise by successfully completing his NASD Series 7 securities licensing and insurance examinations.

After spending time in the financial planning arena working with various other business professionals, he discovered his true calling was in mortgage banking. He felt that helping others reach the American dream through homeownership, every single client of his was in a better position to work towards becoming financially independent. Franco entered the residential mortgage industry in 2003 when he worked with Residential Finance Corporation. Later, he joined Guaranteed Rate, and then Chicago Bancorp, where he became a top producing and award-winning Loan Originator in 2006.
