Andrew Laidlaw

Andrew Laidlaw is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial services and regulatory policy. Currently serving as a Manager in the EU Strategy & Engagement Team at the Financial Conduct Authority since January 2022, Andrew previously held the position of Financial Services Attaché at the UK Mission to the European Union from July 2019 to December 2021, where responsibilities included representing the UK Government on key financial issues related to Brexit and regulatory cooperation. Andrew's earlier roles at the Financial Conduct Authority from December 2010 to July 2019 encompassed managerial and senior associate positions focused on retail banking, payment services, and EU policy. Andrew also served as Deputy Head of the Brussels Office for The Law Society of England and Wales from February 2004 to November 2010 and worked as an Assistant for Elspeth Attwooll MEP in the European Parliament from January 2001 to January 2004.
