Cristina Cernei has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cristina began their career in 2006 as an Office Manager and English interpreter at the INVISE Project within the Organisation of Visually Impaired people in Moldova NGO. Cristina then worked as a free-lance translator and interpreter, specializing in written and oral French, English, and Romanian translations. In 2009, they became a Free-lance guide/interpreter in their free time.
In 2011, Cristina joined CUBUS translations as a Freelance translator, handling translations in Romanian, French, English, and Russian languages. Cristina later joined Alliance Française de Moldavie, where they served as an Assistant to the French classes Department/ESOL Cambridge examination Centre and Front Desk Receptionist. Cristina also worked as a Director's PA/Scholarships & missions administrator.
In 2013, Cristina joined Al Tayer Group, Insignia as a Sales Consultant and later as a Store in Charge. Cristina continued their journey with Al Tayer Insignia in 2018 as a Store Supervisor and briefly served as an Interim Store Manager.
Moving forward, they joined Daniel Wellington in 2019 as a Store Manager. In this role, they achieved significant milestones such as making the store one of the top 3 performers globally within Daniel Wellington. Cristina also implemented various strategies to boost sales, increase brand awareness, and enhance team performance. Cristina made valuable contributions to the business during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most recently, in 2022, Cristina joined The First Group as a Business Development Executive.
Cristina Cernei completed their undergraduate education at ULIM (Free International University from Moldova) from 2002 to 2006. Cristina obtained a degree in French & English translation-interpretation during this time. Following that, from 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Master's Degree at ULIM in Germanic Philology. In terms of additional certifications, Cristina Cernei obtained a certification from Al Tayer Retail Academy in August 2013, offered by the Al Tayer Company.
