Basir Minhaj

Basir Minhaj currently holds the position of Head of Treasury at The First MicroFinanceBank - Afghanistan, a role commenced in May 2023. Prior to this, Basir served as a Treasury Advisor at Afghan United Bank from February to April 2023. With extensive experience in treasury management, Basir worked at Ghazanfar Bank from January 2020 to December 2022, fulfilling multiple roles including Treasury Manager, Deputy Treasury Manager, and Treasury Coordinator. Basir also contributed as a Treasury Committee Member at Afghanistan Banks Association and gained initial experience as an intern at Da Afghanistan Bank in early 2019. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from Kabul University and completion of ACCA between March 2018 and June 2021.
