Linda Mercer has extensive experience in neuroscience and research, currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health since April 2003. Previously, Linda worked as a Research Officer and Senior Research Officer at Monash University's Pharmacology Department from 1992 to 2003, and as a Research Assistant at Neuropharmacology and Therapeutics from 1989 to 1991. Linda's early career included a role as a Senior Technical Officer in the Microbiology Department at The University of Melbourne and a Technical Officer in the Biochemistry Department at The University of Adelaide. Linda's academic background includes a Master of Science in Neuroscience from Monash University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from The Australian National University, complemented by an earlier degree in Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry from the University of Adelaide. Additionally, Linda was an alto member of the Melbourne University Choral Society from 2003 to 2013.
