Aliza Katz has extensive experience in the culinary industry. Aliza currently holds the position of Vice President of Culinary Innovation and Creative Food Solutions at The Food Group, a role they started in December 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Innovation at West Liberty Foods from April 2015 to November 2021.
Before their time at West Liberty Foods, Aliza worked at Kraft Foods for several years, where they held various positions including Corporate Executive Chef from August 2011 to April 2015, Sr. Corporate Chef from October 2008 to August 2011, and Corporate Chef from October 2005 to October 2008.
Aliza also has experience as the Owner and Executive Chef of their own business, Secret Chef, from July 2003 to September 2006. Aliza started their career as a Sous Chef at Dean & Deluca from November 2002 to July 2003, and as a Line Chef at Hotel Tabard Inn from June 2000 to November 2002.
Aliza Katz has a diverse educational background. Aliza pursued a semester abroad at the Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici, where they focused on Italian Language, Art History, Architecture, and Technology. Afterwards, they attended L'Academie de Cuisine and obtained a Culinary Diploma, which prepared their for their culinary career. Lastly, they attended The Johns Hopkins University to earn their B.A. degree in Psychology.
