Caylena attended Highland High School from 2002 to 2006 and earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. After high school, Caylena enrolled at Ithaca College in 2006 and graduated in 2010 with a B.A degree in French and a B.S. degree in Cinema and Photo, with a specialization in Still Photography.

In 2009, Caylena also studied abroad at IES Paris. Following Caylena's undergraduate studies, they attended various seminars and training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge in different areas.

In 2013, Caylena participated in the Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Training Institute. In 2014, Caylena completed the Sandler Sales Training program through the American Society of Media Photographers - NY and also attended the Northern Short Course organized by the National Press Photographer's Association, focusing on Photojournalism and Business.

Caylena's commitment to professional development continued with participation in the E-Myth Webinar Series on business and the Photography Business Seminar offered by ASMP NY in 2014.

Caylena's most recent educational engagement was at the International Association of Culinary Professionals' Annual Conference in 2019. Looking ahead, Caylena has plans to attend the Society of International Development's Annual Conference in 2023.
