Nick Grono

Nick Grono has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations related to human rights and social causes. Nick is currently the CEO of The Freedom Fund, an organization that works to end modern slavery and has successfully rescued thousands of people from slavery. Nick is also a member of the Advisory Council at Global Witness, an organization focused on exposing and addressing human rights abuses.

In the past, Grono has held positions such as being a member of the Human Trafficking Advisory Council at the McCain Institute, a board member of Girls Not Brides, and the Chair of the Jo Cox Foundation. Nick has also served as a board member at Transparentem, an organization that investigates and addresses supply chain abuses. Furthermore, they have been a board member and chair at Crisis Action, an organization dedicated to protecting civilians in armed conflicts.

Grono has a strong background in international relations and conflict-related issues, having served as the Deputy President and COO at the International Crisis Group. Nick has also worked as the Chief of Staff at the Federal Attorney-General's office in Australia.

Throughout their career, Nick Grono has been involved in advocating for human rights, combating modern slavery, and addressing various social issues with a focus on creating positive change.

Nick Grono completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Sydney. Nick then went on to obtain a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree with a focus on Public Policy and International Relations from Princeton University in the years 2002-2003. In 2016, they attended an executive education course at Harvard University called "A Course in Exponential Fundraising." In 2011, they completed another executive education course at Harvard University called "Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management." Additionally, in 2012, they attended an executive education course at Harvard University titled "Performance Measurement for Nonprofit Organizations." In 2020, they became an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. In the same year, they also completed an accredited program as a Strengths Profile Practitioner from Cappfinity Strengths Profiles. Furthermore, from 2020 to 2021, they participated in the Mastered Programme, formerly known as the Business Coach Programme, at Meyler Campbell. As of 2023, Nick Grono is pursuing an EMCC Accredited Executive Coach certification at the Practitioner level from EMCC Global.
