Katie McDonald (Inouye)

Katie McDonald, CPA has over 10 years of work experience in finance, accounting, and consulting roles. Katie is currently working as the Senior Director of Finance at The Freshwater Trust, where they are responsible for financial stewardship and guiding financial commitments. Prior to this, they served as the Financial Controller at the same organization, managing finance and accounting operations. Katie has also worked as an Assistant Financial Controller at The Freshwater Trust.

Before joining The Freshwater Trust, Katie worked as a Financial Consultant at Number Navigators LLC, providing financial assistance to small and medium-sized companies. Katie also worked as a Development Analysis Consultant at Inno Analyst, specializing in tax credit financed transactions for real estate projects. Additionally, Katie has experience as a Financial Controller at Green Light Development and as an Accounting Manager at Frontier Rail.

Earlier in their career, Katie worked as a Senior Accountant at Novogradac & Company LLP and as a Tax Assistant at John Baumann CPA. Katie also owned and operated their own bookkeeping business, Number Navigators LLC, where they served as the Bookkeeper/Owner.

Prior to entering the finance and accounting field, Katie gained experience as a legal assistant, practice administrator, and office manager/receptionist at Gordon Law Office / Divorce Shoppe. Overall, Katie's diverse work experience showcases their expertise in financial management, consulting, and operational control.

Katie (Inouye) McDonald, CPA, pursued their education in the field of accounting. Katie started their academic journey at Portland Community College from 2007 to 2009, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Eastern Oregon University, focusing on Accounting as their field of study.

In addition to their educational background, Katie also obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Oregon Board of Accountancy in July 2015.
