McCailin Wunder has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. McCailin started their career in 2005 as a Conservation Educator at Oregon Zoo and worked there until 2010. In 2010, they joined the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program as an Assistant Language Teacher for a year. In 2012, they became a Development Associate at The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia for a year. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at University of Virginia Advancement, first as a Learning Coordinator and later as an Assistant Director of University Arts Development. In 2017, they joined The Freshwater Trust as a Development Manager, and in 2021, they transitioned to the role of Associate Director, Freshwater Fund. Currently, they hold the position of Strategic Philanthropy Director at The Freshwater Trust.
McCailin Wunder obtained their Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.
