Thomas Rens-Berlijn has a strong background in software development and has held various roles over the years. Thomas began their career in 2009 as an intern at TNO, where they worked on a project involving the use of WiiMote controllers for military simulations. In 2010, they worked as a student assistant at TU Delft.

In 2011, Thomas joined Tam Tam as a Junior Developer, where they primarily focused on backend development using technologies such as Sitecore, Umbraco, and EpiServer. Thomas was promoted to the role of Medior Developer in 2013 and continued to excel in their development work until 2016.

From 2016 to 2022, Thomas worked at Divide, starting as a Developer and eventually taking on more advanced roles. Thomas served as a Senior .NET Webdeveloper, Lead Developer, and Technical Lead Team OIS. Their responsibilities included leading a team, managing projects, and overseeing technical aspects of development.

Currently, Thomas works as a Freelance .NET Developer at The Future Group, leveraging their skills and experience to provide development services on a project basis.

Thomas Rens-Berlijn began their education at RSG Wiringherlant, where they completed their VWO NT (pre-university education) from 2000 to 2006. Thomas then attended Delft University of Technology from 2006 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Technische informatica. Thomas continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Media and Knowledge Engineering from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they achieved the Umbraco Developer Level 2 Certification. In 2014, Thomas became an EPiServer Certified Developer. In 2016, they received the Sitecore Certified Developer certification. Thomas further expanded their qualifications by obtaining the MCSA: Web Applications certification from Microsoft in 2018. In 2019, they earned the MCSD: App Builder certification also from Microsoft. Most recently, Thomas acquired the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification in 2020 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification in 2021.
