Dr. Dirk Reuter's work experience includes various roles in tax and law. Dr. Dirk started their career as a Scientific Assistant at the University of Osnabrueck in 1999. Dr. Dirk then served as a Trainee Attorney at the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz from 2001 to 2003. After that, they worked as an Attorney-at-Law at Aulinger Rechtsanwälte, Bochum from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Dirk then joined Ernst & Young as a Manager Business Tax Advisory from 2005 to 2011. Dr. Dirk furthered their career at Deloitte, where they worked as a Senior Manager International Tax from 2011 to 2015. During their time at Deloitte, they also had a role as an Intermediary, delegating into a client's tax department for a period of time. Dr. Dirk Reuter is currently the Group Head of Tax at Gauselmann AG, a position they assumed in 2015.
Dr. Dirk Reuter has a diverse education history. Dr. Dirk obtained their A-level degree in 1994, focusing on subjects such as English, History, Maths, and Economics. Following this, from 1994 to 1999, they pursued a Law Degree at the University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn), ultimately obtaining their State Exam (1. jur. Staatsexamen). Dr. Dirk then worked as a scientific assistant to Prof. Dr. R. Huettemann at the University of Osnabrück (Universität Osnabrück) from 1999 to 2001, engaging in research on Commercial Law, Company Law, and Tax Law. During this time, they also completed the Bar Exam (2. jur. Staatsexamen) from the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz (Oberlandesgericht Koblenz) between 2001 and 2003. In 2006, Dr. Reuter earned their Doctor of Laws degree (Dr. iur.) in Tax Law, specializing in the valuation of accruals in the commercial balance sheet and tax balance sheet. Finally, they completed their Tax Advisor Exam in 2008, furthering their expertise in this field.
