CT Turner has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. They started their career at Indiana University in 1998 as the Special Assistant to the V.P of Public Affairs & Governmental Relations. After that, they moved on to work at Midwestern University as the Manager of Marketing & Special Events from 2001 to 2004. Following that, they joined Simpson Consulting as the Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Services from 2004 to 2006.

In 2006, CT Turner joined SimpsonScarborough as the Senior Vice President & Partner until 2007. They then transitioned to Pearson in 2011, where they held various roles such as Director & Senior Director - GED Testing Service, and later became the Vice President- Workforce Skills, GED.

Since 2008, CT Turner has also been associated with GED Testing Service, where they started as the Senior Director, State Accounts & Government Relations, and eventually became the Vice President, Global Operations & Government Relations / Managing Director GED International.
