Manolo Paez has held a variety of roles in their professional career. Manolo began their career in 2005 as a Future Professional at Davivienda, chosen by Grupo Bolivar over hundreds of applicants from the best Colombian universities. In 2006, they became a Consultant/Partner at alumbra asesores, supporting local and international investors/entrepreneurs to establish new businesses in Colombia and LatAm. In 2008, they worked as an External Consultant for the International Labour Organization, conducting the proposition of a new measurement of job informality in Colombia. In 2010, they worked as a Speaker in strategy, leadership and entrepreneurship for ManoloPaez, and as an External Consultant for the International Labour Organization for the PREJAL Project, which is responsible for the promotion of youth employment in Latin America. In 2012, they became a Professor at the Universidad de Salamanca. CUES, and in 2014, they became a Professor at SENA. In 2016, they became a Business Mentor at IXL Center - Center for Innovation, Excellence and Leadership. In 2015, they began working at The Global Good Fund as the Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for overseeing all revenue generation processes and defining the revenue strategy. Manolo also held the roles of Chief Of Staff, VP of Strategy, Senior Director of Fellowship and Expansion and Search and Selection Leader for Latin America. In 2022, they joined WomenPalante as a Board of Directors.

Manolo Paez received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana between 2002 and 2008. Manolo then obtained a Micro-finance Executive Certificate from the same university in 2009. In 2009 and 2010, they attended Stanford University as a Summit Delegate for Entrepreneurship. Manolo also obtained a Portuguese degree from Universidad del Norte between 2011 and 2014. In 2015, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a Project Manager degree from Georgetown University, and a Managing for Success Fellow degree from ProInspire.
