Jill Marie Bussey

Jill Marie Bussey is an experienced legal professional and advocate dedicated to immigration policy and consumer protection. Currently serving as the Director for Public Policy at Global Refuge since March 2021, Jill has also been practicing as an Attorney since founding the law firm Jill Marie Bussey, Attorney at Law in 2012. Jill has held significant roles including Director of Advocacy at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., where advocacy efforts focused on immigrants' rights, and Chair of the Howard County Consumer Protection Board, representing economically disadvantaged groups. Other key positions include Co-Chair of the Advocacy Working Group for the Committee for Immigration Reform Implementation and Global Immigration Counsel at Pro-Link GLOBAL, Inc. Jill holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Legal Assistant Studies at The George Washington University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society from American University.
