Bruce Friedrich is the Founder and President of The Good Food Institute, a global organization with a focus on increasing the production of plant-based and cultivated meat to enhance protein supply while addressing environmental concerns and food security. Bruce also serves on the board of multiple regional Good Food Institutes and is a board member of Food Solutions Action, advocating for a resilient agricultural approach in the United States. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Policy at Farm Sanctuary, overseeing legislative efforts, and as Vice President of International Grassroots Campaigns at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.A. in Education from The Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in economics and religion from Grinnell College.
