Joseph Zalescik

Joseph Zalescik is an experienced professional with a diverse background in public service, media, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member and Events Chairman for the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce since January 2023, Zalescik also holds the position of At Large City Commissioner for the City of Mount Airy, North Carolina. As the owner of Station 1978 Firehouse Peanuts LLC since March 2020 and a photojournalist for Country Music Scene since January 1992, Zalescik has cultivated a strong presence in both local business and media. Previous leadership roles include Vice Chairman of the Hamilton Township Fire Commissioners Association and Chairman of the Board for the Board of Fire Commissioners Hamilton Township Fire District 3. Zalescik's extensive experience includes a long tenure as a Media Specialist at Capital Health from 1983 to 2020. Zalescik holds an Associate's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, specializing in Radio and Television, from Mercer County Community College.
