Heather Mahon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Heather started their career in 1987 as a Travel Agency Manager at Sears Canada, where they were nominated for an "Agency of the Year" award in 1992. During their time at Sears Canada, they gained proficiency in multiple computer systems and acted as a test office for new systems.
Following their role at Sears Canada, Mahon worked as a Senior Travel Consultant at Ships and Trips Travel from 1995 to 1997. In this role, they made cold calls to prospective customers, managed expense reports, and maintained relationships with existing customers through effective follow-up.
In 1997, Mahon transitioned to Carlson Wagonlit Travel, where they served as a Senior Corporate Travel Counselor. Their responsibilities included developing office plans to meet sales targets, making professional and cost-effective travel arrangements, and resolving customer issues through face-to-face meetings.
From 1999 to 2001, Mahon worked as a Senior Corporate Travel Counselor at Voyages Rozon Travel Plus. In this role, they developed strong relationships with managers and staff, effectively managed and grew corporate accounts, and demonstrated exceptional research and problem-solving skills.
In 2001, Mahon became an Office Administrator at Money Concepts/Investia, where they handled day-to-day operations, performed light accounting duties, and ensured timely customer service.
Mahon joined DART Aerospace in 2002 as a North American Sales Manager and held this position until 2015. In this role, they demonstrated excellent communication skills and established strong relationships with clients, both domestically and internationally. Heather also served as a liaison between customers and engineering.
Continuing their career trajectory, Mahon worked at Walmart as a Cashier in 2016, before transitioning to The Green Beaver Company as a Batch Maker and subsequently as a Production and Warehouse Manager in the same year.
Heather Mahon completed their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute between the years 1981 and 1985. Heather then pursued a degree in Behavioural Science with a focus on Social Work at St. Lawrence College, where they studied from 1987 to 1989.
