Vugar M. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Vugar started their career as a System Administrator at DİA Holding FZCO/Baku Flame Towers Project in 2010 and later joined Procter & Gamble as a Senior Administrator/Cyber Security Specialist. In this role, they monitored and analyzed network traffic using Splunk and Kabana and responded to network and security incidents. Vugar then joined the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist/ICT, where they were responsible for strategic planning, SOC support, and management of cloud infrastructures. After SOCAR, Vugar worked as a Cyber Security Specialist for Turmex Inc., where they led the Security Operations team and ensured the implementation of cybersecurity controls. Vugar then joined Solvent CyberSecurity as a Lead Cyber Security Specialist, providing leadership and support in various security areas, including incident response and malware analysis. Vugar further advanced their career at BMO Financial Group as a Senior Cyber Risk Security/Lead Consultant, managing information security processes and performing log analysis. Vugar continued their journey at Manulife as a Senior Security Specialist/Lead Consultant, focusing on forensics, investigations, and log analysis. Their most recent role was as a Security Engineer at Dye & Durham Corporation, where they improved vulnerability management, migrated web applications, and implemented effective application vulnerability policies. Vugar is currently working as a Principal Security Analyst at Cyderes.

Vugar M. completed a Cyber Security Bootcamp Certificate at the University of Toronto in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate in EAPP from Centennial College between 2019 and 2020. Vugar M.'s educational background also includes a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering from Qafqaz Universiteti, earned from 2003 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in November 2020, and the IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate from Coursera in 2021.
