Dena Somers

Dena Somers is a managing director who is a regulatory compliance expert (she has been in-house Legal counsel for both banks and mortgage companies, as well as, a consultant to many lenders and loan servicers). Dena has advised hundreds of banks, credit unions, and non-bank lenders in all areas of bank compliance and lending and loan servicing regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management for the past 19 years. Dena has also served as litigation counsel in a broad array of complex litigation matters involving the mortgage lending and servicing business areas. Dena has designed, developed, and provided compliance training programs for banks, credit unions, and non-bank financial institutions nationwide for more than ten years through LexisNexis training activities. Dena will provide regulatory compliance consulting and litigation support and Expert services on behalf of Hilltop.
