Derek Williams is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in payment systems and cloud solutions. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at The Home Depot, Derek specializes in architecting and enhancing checkout solutions, including computer vision models and Kubernetes services. Prior to this role, Derek was the Principal Engineering Team Leader at Chick-fil-A, where leadership in payments engineering and the development of digital solutions were key responsibilities. Experience at Fiserv includes roles as Principal Solutions Architect and Enterprise Architect, focusing on distributed payment systems and technology standards.
