Graeme Massie

Graeme Massie is an experienced journalist currently serving as the West Coast News Editor, US Curator/Optimisation Editor, and Breaking News Reporter at The Independent since November 2020. Prior to this role, Graeme worked as a freelance writer and journalist from October 2019 to November 2020. Graeme's extensive career also includes positions at Splash News from October 2004 to September 2019, where roles included news desk support and reporting, as well as reporting positions at Solent News & Photo Agency (2002-2004) and Southern Daily Echo (2000-2002). Graeme holds a Master’s Degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization from The University of Edinburgh and a National Council for Training of Journalists Diploma in Journalism from City of Portsmouth College, alongside coursework at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
