Moaiyed Albargan has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Moaiyed Albargan, MSc, CISO, is currently the Director of Cyber Security at TAQA (Industrialization & Energy Services Company) since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Cyber Security at King Fahd Causeway Authority from January 2022 to May 2023.

Before their role at King Fahd Causeway Authority, Moaiyed Albargan was the Cyber Security Senior Manager at TAQA (Industrialization & Energy Services Company) from March 2018 to January 2022. In this role, they were responsible for establishing cybersecurity governance and the Information Security Management System, acquiring ISO 27001 certification, and implementing cybersecurity defense solutions.

Moaiyed Albargan, MSc, CISO, gained experience as an Information Security Specialist at Saudi Aramco from February 2016 to March 2018, where they developed and implemented data protection programs and provided information security consultation.

Prior to Saudi Aramco, Moaiyed Albargan served as the Compliance & Reporting Team Leader at SABIC from April 2015 to February 2016. Moaiyed Albargan, MSc, CISO, was also a Senior Project Manager at AlRajhi Bank from August 2014 to April 2015, managing various IT projects.

Their career in the field of cybersecurity started at Saudi Aramco in September 2006, where they held the role of an Information Security Specialist. In this position, they supervised the Data Protection Group and worked on multiple projects related to information security, risk management, compliance, and audit.

Overall, Moaiyed Albargan has a diverse and extensive background in cybersecurity, with experience in leadership roles, establishing governance frameworks, implementing defense solutions, and providing consultation in various organizations.

Moaiyed Albargan holds a Master of Science in Information Security from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they attained from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. Additionally, they participated in a B.S. program in Software Engineering and Science and Engineering during the same period. Albargan has obtained several certifications, including the PMP (Project Management Professional) from PMI in February 2014, as well as the CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) from ISACA in November 2017.
