Jonathan Smith

Jonathan Smith is an experienced editor with a diverse background in digital media. Currently serving as the Interim Editor at Eater National and Interim Cities Manager at Eater since December 2022, Jonathan previously held the position of Managing Editor at Mic for Bustle Digital Group from March 2020 to October 2022. Prior to that, Jonathan was the US Editor at Huck Magazine and spent nearly a decade at VICE Media in various editorial roles, culminating in Editor in Chief of VICE.com. Jonathan's tenure at VICE was marked by leadership across editorial teams, the introduction of innovative content formats, and a focus on expanding coverage and inclusivity. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
