Sarah Lyon Cmp

Sarah Lyon, CMP has a diverse and impressive work experience in the hospitality industry. Sarah is currently serving as the Director of Conference Planning at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center since September 2022. Prior to this, Sarah worked as a Program Manager at Virginia Tech from April 2017 to October 2022. Sarah also gained valuable experience as an Events Coordinator at The Blacksburg Partnership from March 2014 to June 2016. Sarah's career started at the Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center, where they served as a Sales Manager from June 2012 to March 2014, and as a Catering Sales Manager from August 2010 to June 2012. Finally, at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, Sarah worked as a Meetings and Special Events Manager from August 2003 to May 2010. With their extensive experience, Sarah Lyon, CMP brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role.

Sarah Lyon, CMP completed their Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications/Business Administration from Elon University. Sarah attended Elon University from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council in August 2013.
