Susan Rubin

Reproductive Health Research Director at The Institute for Family Health

Susan Rubin has extensive work experience in the medical field. Susan started their career in 2004 as a Physician, per diem at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also served as a Physician, per diem at the PPNYC affiliate. In 2007, Susan joined Westside Family Medicine as a Family Physician and worked there until 2016.

In 2016, Susan started working at The Institute for Family Health, first as a Reproductive Health Research Director and then as a Family Physician at the Amsterdam Family Practice. Additionally, they held positions at Montefiore Health System as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Social Medicine from 2004 to 2015, and later as an Associate Professor from 2015 to 2016.

Susan Rubin received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia in 1989. Susan then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 1997 to 2001. In 2006, they completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Population and Family Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Additionally, Susan attended Stuyvesant High School in New York, NY from 1981 to 1985.
