Brian Clintworth

Brian Clintworth has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies. Brian began their career in 1999 as a Senior Accountant at Clark Nuber, where they specialized in corporate audits and tax returns for both non-profit and for-profit corporations. In 2004, they transitioned to Moss Adams LLP as a Senior Manager, focusing on audits for healthcare, non-profit, and employee benefit plan clients while also providing financial reporting and process improvement advice.

In 2012, Brian joined Group Health Cooperative as a Finance Manager, responsible for monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and the implementation of new regulations and systems. Brian also supervised and coached direct reports and worked closely with actuaries to set and record Incurred But Not Reported claims.

After four years at Group Health Cooperative, Brian moved to Optum as an Associate Finance Director in 2016. In this role, they oversaw the finance function in the Tacoma location, managing a network of Behavioral Health providers and leading the Financial Planning & Analysis process. Brian was also in charge of financial accounting, the annual audit, and quarterly reporting to the State.

Most recently, Brian joined The Institute for Functional Medicine in 2018 as the Director of Finance and Administration. In addition to overseeing operations, IT, and finance departments, they support the CEO in organizational development and strategy development as the Chief Finance & Operations Officer.

Brian Clintworth began their education journey by completing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Montana State University-Bozeman. Brian attended this institution from 1995 to 1998. Subsequently, they pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Accounting from Gonzaga University - School of Business Administration from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, Brian Clintworth obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Washington State Board of Accountancy at an unspecified date.
