Robert Priester

Robert Priester has extensive work experience in various financial and legal roles. Robert began their career at ESBG, where they served as a Legal Advisor and Assistant to the Secretary General from 1991 to 1995. Robert then joined CEA and worked as a Project Manager and Legal Advisor in multilateral trade and international relations from 1996 to 2001. After that, they joined EFAMA as a Legal Advisor from 2001 to 2005. Priester then moved on to the European Banking Federation, where they held two positions: Head of Department from 2005 to 2017, and later Deputy Chief Executive from 2013 to 2017. Robert is currently working at the Institute of International Finance as the Head of their European Representative Office, a position they have held since 2017.

Robert Priester completed their Baccalaureat in Latin Languages at the European School from 1973 to 1981. Robert later pursued a degree in Law, earning a Meester in de Rechten from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden in the Netherlands by 1991. The information about their enrollment at Leiden University is unclear.
