Sophie Alexandria Wainwright

Sophie Alexandria Wainwright is an experienced communications and policy professional with a strong focus on sustainability, corporate governance, and public policy advocacy. Currently serving as Communications Manager at The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market since July 2023, Wainwright previously held the position of Senior Policy Advisor for Business Sustainability at the Confederation of British Industry, where responsibilities included leading initiatives on corporate sustainability and managing the UN Race to Zero Campaign. Additional roles include Policy Communications Advisor at the Chartered Management Institute, Senior Policy and Communications Officer at SafeLives, Policy and Campaigns Officer at The Traveller Movement, and various research assistant positions at institutions such as McGill University and the UNDP. Wainwright holds a Master of Science in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Birmingham.
