Doreen Chen

Doreen Chen is a seasoned human rights expert currently serving as a Senior Programme Manager and Human Rights Advisor at UNOPS, focusing on counterterrorism in collaboration with the European Union-United Nations Global Terrorism Threats Facility. In addition, Doreen operates as a Subject Matter Expert at the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law, leading a global survey on fair trial rights in counter-terrorism. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Destination Justice since 2011, Doreen has been at the forefront of promoting justice. Previous roles include legal education and content development for IDLO and participation in significant projects such as trial monitoring for gender-based violence in Mongolia and legal consultancy for the Khmer Rouge Trials. Doreen holds an altMBA, a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School, and degrees from the University of Sydney in Law and Economic and Social Sciences.
