Misty Booker

Misty Booker has been working in the field of governance, risk, and compliance since 2003. Misty began their career at Baptist Eye Surgeons, PLLC as an Accounts Receivable Manager. In 2017, they were promoted to Compliance Manager, where they mentored, coached, and managed an AR team of four and the AR Manager, oversaw the OSHA, HIPAA (Privacy and Security) and Compliance program for the practice's three offices, and drafted, modified, and implemented policies and procedures. In 2019, they joined Lirio as a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager, where they led technology governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, implemented and managed the security framework, established a security compliance baseline, and led cross-functional teams through the problem resolution process. Misty Booker is currently employed at The IT Company LLC as a Client Strategy and Compliance Coordinator.

Misty Booker is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration: Leadership from Capella University, with an expected completion date of 2022. Misty has also obtained several certifications, including a Foundations of Leadership Certificate 1 and 2 from The National Society of Leadership and Success in October and November 2021, respectively, a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) in December 2020, a Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) in September 2019, a Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) in June 2019, and a Certified HITRUST CSF Practitioner from HITRUST in March 2020.
