John Frederick Ashburne

John Frederick Ashburne is a seasoned freelance writer, editor, and author with extensive experience in journalism and media. Currently serving as a Special Advisor on International Relations and Media at Kyoto University's Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) since April 2015, Ashburne also contributes to various publications, including the Wall Street Journal and The Japan Times, focusing on economics and politics in the Kansai region. Ashburne holds the title of Guest Editor for Kyoto Journal, where unique articles on food culture are curated, and has authored works for Louis Vuitton City Guide and Forbes.
