Robert Balow is a seasoned chemist with extensive experience in the field of research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Chemist at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since August 2022, Robert previously held positions at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from August 2015 to August 2022, where contributions included roles as Research Chemist, Jerome and Isabella Karle Distinguished Scholar Fellow, and NRC Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Nanomaterials Interfaces and Devices Section. Additionally, Robert is the CEO and Founder of Raytown Productions, LLC, a position held since January 2004. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Purdue University, obtained in 2015, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, completed in 2009. Robert's graduate research included nanocrystal synthesis, device fabrication, and the development of innovative techniques in electrocatalysis for solar fuel production.
