Tim Gion has extensive work experience in software engineering, primarily focused on roles in research and development. Tim began their career as a student contractor at the US Army Research Lab in 1992, where they worked until 1996. In 1998, they joined Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and later transitioning to the role of Principal Software Engineer in June 2019. Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated a strong commitment to their work in software engineering.
Tim Gion obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Delaware in 1996. Tim further pursued their education and earned a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Virginia between 1996 and 1998. In 2020, Tim obtained a certification as a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte.
