John Dembek

John Dembek possesses extensive experience in facilities management and life safety, currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management and Corporate Director of Life Safety at Catholic Health Services of Long Island since April 2013. Prior to this role, John contributed to the Joint Commission as an Engineer Surveyor since October 2004. John's earlier career includes significant positions at St. Charles Hospital as the Director of Emergency Management from August 1997 to March 2013, and the Town of Brookhaven as Chief Fire Marshal from March 1988 to March 2013. John also has a background in fire service, having held the positions of Chief of Department and Assistant Fire Chief at the Terryville Fire Department from January 1987 to December 1994, and worked as a Fire Protection Technician Nuclear at Shoreham Nuclear Power Station-LILCO from October 1986 to March 1988.
