Professor Of Ear Training at The Juilliard School

Lance Horne is a distinguished educator and composer with a significant background in music training. Currently serving as Professor of Ear Training at The Juilliard School since September 1999, Lance Horne has held various faculty positions within the institution, including roles focused on ear training and sight singing across different divisions. Additionally, Lance Horne has been a Professor of Counterpoint and Ear Training at the European American Musical Alliance since July 1998, conducting summer programs in Paris influenced by the teachings of Nadia Boulanger. As an independent creative artist with Mister Sister Music since 1996, Lance Horne has composed for theater, film, television, dance, and multimedia. Furthermore, Lance Horne has experience teaching theory and musicianship to undergraduate musical theater students at New York University from September 2002 to April 2007. Educationally, Lance Horne is an alumnus of The Juilliard School, having completed studies from 1996 to 2002.
